10.Most Memorable Character in 2012?
everytime someone asks me what is your favourite character it seems hard to pick and all the authors make all the guys sound the best i tend to just go back to the same one and that would be Juliette from Shatter Me the first book i read this year. she seems to have that powerful voice that she doesn't realise she is so vulnerable in the start but at the end she is more powerful.

11. Most beautifully written book in 2012?
Now most beautifully written normally means i have cried at the end and there were a few this year and it is really hard to pick this one because i didnt cry yet it was inspiring this book is Between The Lines by Jodi Picoult and Samantha Van Leer.

b) the next scene its very different its the scene from the selection where aspen goes to america i dont want you to have my life i want you to go and stay with the prince an then breaks up with her and thats only within the first 50 pages i was heart broken and dint know how maxon would live up to aspen.

17.Favourite relationship from a book in 2012? (can be romantic, friendship etc)
that would have to be america and maxon from the selection its such a great friendship and its an even better relationship.

that book would be the pledge by Kimberley Derting. i honestly didn't like her third book but i liked this book way better than her other series!

Happy New Year hope you enjoyed christmas look out on 1/1/2013 for my blog post on the top 50 books i read in 2012.

A Shimmer of Angels

well i havent read a good angel book in a while now since all the sequels to stuff like Halo, Hush Hush and Fallen were pretty miserable and really bad but this angel book, A Shimmer of Angels by +Lisa M Basso shows promise and excitement to what comes forward afterwards (lets just hope it not a hill falling to the pits). I discovered this book through my ebook collection supplied by netgalley, i suggest it to all YA readers looking for a new angel thing to read., this book will be released in january 2013. Lisa M Basso enchants you into her exicting stories with just a little bit of that angel magic she has.

A Shimmer of Angels is all about Rayna, a girl who spent 3 years in a medical ward because her father thought she that she could see angels! once she's out of this clinic it only takes her three weeks until she sees another one in her classroom and she starts to think this angel s behind all the suicides at this school but whilst she is trying to prove that she gets to know him a little bit more and starts to understand how his type of angels work but there is another type of angel the fallen ones the ones that have created human emotions and have had to fall because they are evil and now under the influence of lucifer but rayna meets one that isnt what they are and happens to have fallen in  love with her mother before she died he wants to help her with the murders too and figure out why she can see angels both type of angels.but with two angels from different sides that hate each other they just cant seem to get along unless they are taking care of rayna. but as the prom comes up something big happens and rayna cant help her friends and may need some angelic help from both sides.

i loved this because it had all the new twists and turns that most top authors dont have. AMAZING!

great book hope to bring you more exicting books this christmas.

Merry Christmas!!!

Pushing the Limits

So has been very busy with ebooks not so much real paperbacks (must get back to that) but i do know this one is out already and is available to all of you. first let me tell you the first part is all action guy stuff the second part is all lovey dovey heart throbbing/breaking part and neither of them in a bad way. i loved it. i really enjoy debut author katie mcgarry's spin n the ya hit fiction.but do you know what katie's story actually relates to people out there that do/did get bullied and teased because of facial blemishes and scars all over them.
so pushing the limits is Echo's and Noah's story about each of their lives and how messed up they are but  how they each handle it very differently. Echo's story was about how her brother had died in Afghanistan  her mother was bipolar and had tried to kill her and her father and step mom pushing her to do her best to get into business school so she could continue on her dad's career, she was not allowed to take art classes and she had to go to the school counselor to talk about her problems and try and solve the blank spot in her mind. Noah's story is a little different both his parents died in a fire and he was separated from his own brothers and from there he has tried to remain the same kid he was before but since sophomore year he has been drinking pot, smoking cigarettes and working at a cheesy take away store n the mall. that is until Noah and Echo meet. Echo has never broken the rules but desperately wants to find out what in her file. Noah has never liked a girl enough to hang around but this uptight stubborn girl might just be the one to break it.

it goes up and down from there what will happen to Echo? what will happen to Noah? you know i don't give spoilers so you are just going to have to read it this time. I have to say it might sound really bad the way i am reviewing it but let me tell you i cried and i laughed and i screamed at it those are all pretty good signs this is a good book

Half Blood

okay so i'm having a hard time keeping up since my order from book depository came in and i got adobe ereader so i now have about 20 reviews but i will try and keep up with them all. anyways one of the books i have just been reading and still flabbergasted that it was that good was Half-Blood by Jennifer L Armentrout.
Jennifer at the moment is writing two series and i hope to read this series and the other one very soon.
Half Blood is all about the kin named Hematoi which is another way of saying descendants of the gods and goddesses. now Alex went to the convenant that had hematoi and half blood (the not so fortunate of this kin). alex is a half blood but three years ago her mother whisked her away from the convenant in the dusk of night praying that she was protecting alex. Alex and her mother moved around a lot and learnt to blend in with the humans. but it was never going to be paradise for Alex and her mother one night, Daimons found her  and her mother. Alex fought but in the  end the Daimons drained her mother and so she was sent back to her uncle and step father wishing she was never there because she always thought that they never cared. Her uncle was going to send her to be a servant in her step fathers home up until her rescuer Aiden says he can train her up to the standards of the others. after that it all takes off. The first thing she does is pull the hair of her old arch nemesis Lea. after that it really is all drama. she meets the apollyon, she finds out her mother is a daimon and if i told you the rest you wouldn't read it so get out there and find it.

Half blood was full of originality, humor, magic, love and adventure everything some one could want in a book

Shut Out Review

this book i have waited a long time for and now it has arrived on my doorstep and within three hours i have finished it. YES!! new record! anyways Shut Out is by Kody Keplinger an author notoriously known for rewriting some really boring classics (sorry if you like classics) and putting a romantic funny twist on them for instance in shut out Kody has rewritten Lysteria a classic about women having a sex strike to stop a war.

so in shut out, Lissa is Randy's girlfriend and she is sick of coming second to a team of soccer players so she gets all the football girlfriends and her best friend (happens to be school slut) and the girlfriend of the soccer teams captain in one room on one table and she declares a sex strike. This particular sex strike included no sex, no hand jobs, no bj's, no kissing and anything else that the guys liked until they settled this ten year rivalry. everything changed when it actually worked and all the girls were proud of themselves. it really would have lasted longer if Lissa's daydreamer wasn't the leader of the guys side and when the guys started to play cannon ball half naked all girls didn't know what they were doing? did they give up the strike or did they continue like brave soldiers it would depend on whether or not Lissa was going to allow it.

this book is an amazing retell funny, yet heartbreaking and a great chick lit because it proves just how dumb teenage guys ( and older males) really are. if you went on a sex strike with your guy how would he act?

Endless No#4 o the Violet Eden Chapters

LOVE WILL KILL US ALL. that is the first line of the blurb but do you know what Jessica Shirvington isn't wrong about what her book might do. Love will kill us all if our hearts keep breaking. Endless is the 4th book of the Violet Eden chapter and i was hoping it would be the last and Violet and Lincoln would live happily ever after just like fairy tale angels but my predictions don't go very far when it comes to sequels of books. saying this though i am heart broken in a good way that i desperately want the second one. honestly if you are reading this some of you have to agree with me on some occasions that authors need a speed writer which is something they want the book to turn out like and that way books would come out quicker. although they might not be as good.
anyways Endless picks up from Emblaze when violets mother reappears at her house not a day old and then knocks Violet's dad out. so as we continue Eden and Lincoln go to New York back to the academy where Zoe and Spence come from to have violet get officially realized as a Grigori  along the way violet experiences a new profound feeling called jealousy as her father starts to let her mother back in. so when violet is denied of true Grigori powers and then phoenix turns up, everything sort of looks like custard to her and she cant see the bright side of things. but the real reason she went to New York was to defeat Lilith once and for all but will she be able to do it as well as save all the future Grigori angels who are still children without exposing anything well you will just have to wait and see.

Remember start at the beginning so you fall in love and join the heartbreak train or maybe you are already on it!

The Steampunk Chronicles Review

Okay so I have had 2 weeks off holiday a week to catch up on homework and now I'm back with 2 reviews on one of the debut authors of the year Kady Cross's books The Girl in The Steel Corset and The Girl in Th Clockwork Collar. Both amazing books by an amazing author.
First of all, steampunk is a new hit rating genre that every one is catching onto its either going forwards in time to the future where there are 400 different realms like The Mortal instruments or going back in time where the all dress weirdly but having greater known technology than today like The infernal devices or The steampunk chronicles.
Okay so The Girl In The Steel Corset is No#1 but before that was the prequella that was an eBook originally but has now been printed just before The Girl In The Steel Corset called The Strange Case of Finley Jane  personally the first 100 pages(there was only 101) of the prequella sucked it really wasn't interesting at all until it ended and got onto the real story, it almost made me want to stop reading and that's all I have to say about that book.
So The Girl In The Steel Corset is about how Finley Jane is pressured by her master of the house and then knocks him out and ends up finding her way into Griffin King's mansion living as a guest like most of his housemates but together they all possess something unusual about them. Emily is a medical genius and can talk to machines, Sam is made of metal now but is still as big and brute as before, Griffin can possess some Aether energy and connect with others through it, Jasper has the ability to move as fast as he wants when he wants and knows how to fight too. Finley, however, has a dark side that knows how to kill. So while they are trying to connect Finley's dark side with her light side an evil mastermind that calls himself the Machinist starts to destroy the world and wreck the group apart.
In The Girl In The Clockwork Collar (second book) we go to America because Jasper's been arrested for murder that are so sure he didn't commit but when they find out he wasn't taken to prison but to an old nasty friend, Dalton's, house. Finley and Emily go in and do some recon getting Dalton to turn his attention to her whilst Sam and Griffin come up with an almost exact copy of Finley plans as well but Griffin's and Sam's doesn't turn out as well. Finley gets asked to go and live with Dalton and Griffin is not sure that's a great idea but Finley goes anyway. When she's in there she meets the mysterious Mei that has put Jasper in all this trouble and suspects there is something else going on but doesn't have time to uncover that secret because she is supposed to be tailing Jasper. Jasper is putting a gadget back together after he took apart 3 years ago against his will thinking he is saving his love of his life Mei.

So that's the two books from the steampunk chronicles by Kady Cross. they are amazing for everyone nobody would want to put them down.

North of Beautiful Review

North of beautiful is quite an inspirational book that i enjoyed reading as it is one of those books that every relevant character has something different about them that others pick on. Which is just like racism. this book talks about over coming normality and making a difference just by being you, which is a helpful message to quite a few teens out there.

so this book is about Terra Firma who is from behind looks perfect and even mos of her front is the same except for this one bright white stain across her face which has never been able to be removed even after months of surgery and laser clinics. so Terra came up with this escape plan to get into Williams College and never come  back to her lowly life home again but that all gets messed up when her mom insists she goes to this new laser surgery clinic that have removed stains like hers before but after the surgery she's turning into a car space for coffee with her mom and some Ute truck thing totals her car and that's how she meets Jacob. Jacob's mom, Norah, instantly takes in Terra's mom and helps her out with her self confidence which means even more time for Terra and Jacob spend together. but its not until the four of them go to china together that Jacob and Terra actually started bawling out feelings for each other. before china they were too busy looking for Geo-caches.
this is a great book written by Justina Chen Hadley which is all about maps, not literally. but it moves along the paths of different maps.

Dreamless

So as the second. book of the starcrossed series i was immensely disappointed Josephine Angelini is a great writer but without drama there seems to be no story for her and i didn't quite get why there had to be all this chaotic and psychotic drama about whether Helen and Lucas get back together or whether she falls in love with her mothers slave Orion. i guess i wanted it to be like the first one but not all books can have that sufficient supply of greatness. i have to say this year most of the sequels created first of all need a redo on the cover i.e Rapture and Finale, and second of all have poor story lines that just want to let the readers give up and not read the book and unfortunately this one is one of them and i have to say the book felt rushed as if she had something else to do.

so the story starts off at Lucas's house explaining to Claire and Matt her supernatural powers. after that she is caught too close to Lucas and castor goes off his nut and sends Helen home then practically yells at Lucas to stay away from Helen and to force himself to hate her. whilst Lucas is being told that Helen is going back to the Underworld better known as Hell to try and complete an impossible task. but she finds Orion down there instead who tries to help her complete it since he is the only other person allowed down there. so while Helen is trying to figure out why Lucas is avoiding her she is desperately falling for Orion who she doesn't yet know is her mother slaves then some demon starts attacking her in the human world so that ares can kill her in the underworld but doesn't yet realize that Orion is the one saving her and not Lucas.

so i wont tell you the ending in case you end up liking i but i personally really disappointed i didn't hate it but it really could have been better.

Pretty Tough Review

okay so i must admit i read playing with the boys first and loved it before i knew this was the first one but lemme tell you it doesn't matter which order you read these books in because they are emotional impact books and i know that sound like some crazy books that health teachers would make you read but these "Pretty Tough" books are influencing girls to forget about the emotional crap you have play sport and forget the guys even if it is only for one day/week like Brooks.

so this story starts off with Krista being captain of a soccer team and its her senior year and now the coach got fired and they replaced her with someone who doesn't know a thing about soccer, Martie. Krista doesn't like her and she begins to start hating her when she asks her younger sister,Charlie, and a bunch of losers from other schools to first of all go to school and then play in the team! to top that off her long time secret charming boyfriend is sick of hanging around and either want to skip a few levels or be gone. well thats Krista's side it sounds like hell doesn't it.

Charlies side is that her sister is perfect and she has always been downgraded as the less sportier, the less prettier she just wasn't perfect in anyone's eyes except for Martie. Martie didn't ask her to be on the team she pratically forced her to be on the team and then "encouraged" other girls to play as well. although she making friends with these girls, she cant help but feel out of place especially when her older sisters on the team but lifes not all about sport and parties. Charlie is a "troublemaker" in all departments. teachers hate her, she has currently no friend ss because of a stupid rumor and has caught the eye of reporters and guys from all of California. Lifes about to get bumpy if not bumpier.

so this story is about two sisters that hate  each other but are forced to play a team sport together and work things out. it might have taken Hell Month but it looks like its getting better.

Claire Lazebnik Interview

okay so as promised here is claire's interview for my prototype magazine oh and heres the cover!!! cool isn't it i really hope the school board likes it because otherwise that was 2 hours of nothing down the drain!

Claire Labzenik interview
whats the best thing about writing the novel?

FINISHING!  It's a marathon writing any novel--months and months of work, mostly rewriting. And even when you think you're done, you still have to read through the copy edits and then the galley pages--and that's when you catch all the awkward mistakes you didn't catch earlier! So it's amazing to hold the finished novel in your hands and think, "I don't ever have to work on this again."

when do you think right its time to finish this novel so that you make us hang on to the next book?

I've never written a sequel, so all of my novels stand on their own. Basically I have a story arc in my head when I start--the protagonist has to go through certain things and make certain discoveries before her journey's over--and once I reach that point, I just look for a happy moment to end on.

what got you started in writing?

I always wanted to be a writer. Always. I read constantly when I was a kid: it was my number one favorite thing to do and if you were looking for me, you could always find me curled up in the warmest spot in the house (our house was always freezing) with a book. And probably some kind of food. Anyway, I was never good at anything other than reading and writing so I knew I'd either have to go into teaching English or writing books myself, and my one attempt to teach made me realize I'm too self-conscious to do that well, so I just kept writing and writing, hoping one day to get published. I was lucky in that I was able to sell some pieces to magazines way before I got a book published.

as a bestselling author what is your biggest fear in writing?

I have lots of fears. That my books won't sell.  That people will say mean things about them. That they'll be out of date by the time they come out.  But my all time biggest fear is that a day will come when I just can't get a book deal anymore. I'd be very sad not to be able to keep putting my books out there.

what is the most motivational quote/ word you can give to other young authors?

Write what you'd like to read. Your story takes on a life of its own when you start feeling like you can't wait to find out what happens next. Let yourself be the audience you want and take pleasure in the process, without worrying about the future.

Finally, What has been the best experience you have had because of your book?

Hearing from fans. I've had some emails that have brought me to tears. One woman who was suffering from depression said that the first book she was able to get through after a very tough time was one of my novels. Another woman who was a single mother said that my novel made her feel like someone really understood her daily life.  I co-wrote a book on autism and have had people from all over the world let me know that it's made a difference in their lives. And I've had such an outpouring of enthusiasm from fans of EPIC FAIL--pretty much every day someone writes to let me know how much she or he enjoyed it.  These letters and emails are an unending source of joy.

well thats all today have a fantastic week watch out for Kristen Cashores trilogy popping up for review soon!

Wendy Higgins Interview!!!

Okay so my school asked me to redo the schools reading and writing  magazine. so i went to three authors i have recently read. YOU WILL FIND THE REVIEWS IN THE REVIEW TAB!!! so the three authors were Wendy Higgins, Claire Labzenik and Megan Miranda and Wendy and Claire got back to me almost instantly which is so nice!!! so i asked if i could put their interviews on my blog and they both said yes so i will do Wendy's today and Claire's tomorrow i promise!!!!!

so here it is

ME:What's the best thing about writing the novel?

Wendy: There are so many wonderful aspects, but my favorite is talking about the book with fans. :)

ME: When do you think right it's time to finish this novel so that you make us hang on to the next book?

Wendy: Hm, do you mean how do I decide how to end a book?  I think there needs to be some sort of closure, but still be open enough to make people want to read the next one. It's a very delicate decision. I rewrote the ending several times!

ME: What got you started in writing?

Wendy: I think it was just a natural thing. I always loved stories, whether I was reading them or writing them. I started writing stories as soon as I learned to write.

ME: As a bestselling author what is your biggest fear in writing?

Wendy: Actually, I'm not a bestselling author, but I like your thinking, LOL!  My biggest fear is that people won't like it (which, of course, is inevitable   because not everyone will ever like the same thing), but I also worry that people will think I have an ulterior motive in my stories, which I  don't.

ME: What is the most motivational quote/ word you can give to other young authors?

Wendy: Once it's published, don't read the reviews. Just interact with the people who contact you. Concentrate on the positive.

ME: Finally, What has been the best experience you have had because of your book?

Wendy: When people email me to say that my book touched their heart and inspired them, that makes me cry. I feel so honored.

okay so thats it for now be back tomorrow and i will hopefully get to interview more authors as i start to finish and complete this school year!!!

So this weeks Question is.........

What Hyped up book do you think was not worth all the talk??

hmm..... well let me think...... OOH I KNOW!!! twilight!! now I know there are a lot of you going what but it was written by a forty something year old woman and sounded like it too. It didn't sound like a 16 year old at all and then the movies are a drag but then  the story line confusing and boring it was a drag that went on forever.so yeah that's my feature and follow this week whats yours????

The Scorpio Races

So this amazing author has just written yet another amazing book and their doesn't sound to be a sequel. May I JUST SAY TO MAGGIE STIEFVATER NONONONONONO! The Scorpio Races was a beautifully written story that I encourage everyone to read. This time Maggie has not written about wolves but about Capielle Uisce (underwater flesh eating horses). So on this island away from the mainland of America, they have these Capielle Uisce come to visit at the start of September each year. So the men of this island got a little bit big-headed and decided to race them against land owned horses. But this year Puck Connolly (aka Kate Connolly) is going to be the first girl to ride in the scorpio races; which the men of the town think is completely ridiculous. Pucks intentions for this race is to convince her older brother of not leaving for the mainland and leaving her and her little brother behind to fend for themselves with no money. However she ends up meeting Sean (four time Champion) almost half dead and ends up having him train her up until the deadline with him and his Capielle Uisce. One things turns to another and Sean and Puck develop secret feelings for each other then some drastic things start to happen just before the race and can I tell you I cried. It was heart breaking. It murdered me. Which kind of means its a good book. A really good book as I do not usually cry in books or movies. So well done Maggie Stiefvater.

OK number 1 thing you do after reading this: GET THE BOOK whether its from a library or the nearby bookstore GET IT!!!!!
No#2 thing to do: read and DO NOT stop reading
No#3 thing to do : show some emotion then come back and tell me i was right.(Joking!!)

Epic Fail Review

i was influenced to read epic fail by one of my friends that normally doesnt read these sorts of books but i must say she picks amazingly because this is one of the funniest ya romance stories you are going to find. i commend claire lazebnik for writing this.so epic fail is romantic comedy based in LA as per usual and is found to be inspired by Jane Austens Pride and Prejudice.

so Elise moves to la because her mother gets a new job as principal at this private school that Elise is going to be attending with her older sister Juliana. Elise and Juliana have never left each others sides and nows not going to be the time with girl like Chelsea Baldwin schools head bitch and mischief maker. but juliana almost instantly falls for her brother Chase which is a charming funny guy that knows how to make discipline. so while Elise hangs out with Juliana and tries to interact with Chase she ends up staring at Chase's best friend Derek  which coincidentally is the high school prince and must gaze over guy for every girl in the school. s when Derek starts to take an interest in Elise ( which Elise thinks is forced through Juliana and Chase) every girl is glaring at her but Chelsea decides to make trouble for her and her family. so its a fantastic cheesy romantic comedy that is really enjoyable plus all the drama that you expect would normally happen at a private school with the daughter of the principle.

Perception review

perception is the second book to clarity and although i really enjoyed the last one almost a year ago this one was quite disturbing. i enjoyed the book and its characters though i just didn't get a real feel for the story line and when i finally got it. it was messy and disastrous. i like Kim Harrington writing just this particular story didn't really taste my appeal. so perception is about clarity being just friends with two guys a girl dying just before school starts and clarity becoming friends with a mopey goth girl and her brother having traumatic experiences. so in the last book she pissed off a girl named Tiffany through proving her brother was innocent of a crime by proving she psychic and now the whole ton believes her shes got 2 wannabe friends and her ex boy friend and the new guy who helped her in the last book both chasing her to be her boy friend. so clarity and the rest of her school had just started school again and then this home-schooled new student goes ups and leaves and her body is later found in a dumpster and with a successful try at murdering. so this puts off clarity's must save the world trigger but what she doesn't relize is that she is the next victim. the killer starts to send her notes and flower and pictures of things he will do if she just becomes his girlfriend. but clarity wont take that. so he tries to get even and that's when it gets disturbing so i wont tell you. but i wouldn't really recommend this book to very many people.

The Pledge review

okay so i wasn't too happy with the third book in the body finder but this book is a time bomb i really love it! first of all it is set in a dystopian magical world where the queen rules everything, including how the society runs and what you are to say and not to say. So Charlie is an under-miner ( bottom class person) but she has the ability to understand all languages. just nobody knows until she is caught staring at someone not even speaking in the language she is suppose to know. thats when all the booby traps are set off and in between all of that she meet Max and Xander two mysterious boys with some deadly secrets. one is the queens spy the other is the queens enemy leader, but they both know the hidden  language of the royals. i love how its all about magic and the post apocalyptic world. it very intriguing and exciting. the one thing i hate is that it keeps flipping from person to person, there are so many characters and each of them has to have a say. the characters overall though i like them all including the queen she evidently harmless but with a powerful soul in her body. brook the best friend of charlie is an amazing actor pretending to be boy crazy when she is actually a spy.her father is an amazing actor as well you just have to figure out why though.
so thats it for now i really enjoyed this book.

Out of sight, Out of time Review

So the fifth installment of the Gallagher Girls is finally in my hands and can I say it is nothing like I expected. I was hoping for a spy report type book on Cammie's runaway, but no Ally Carter flips us on our heads thinking we are all crazy for assuming that. So yeah its not what I expected but its not a disappointment I almost want words to keep appearing on the pages so that it doesn't have to stop because I wanna find out what happens after the ending. But I have to wait another year. :(

So on with the story! Cammie is a runaway spy that doesn't remember one bit about her summer but has woken up in the Alpine surrounded by nuns. Now all she wants to do is go home, but she is not greeted with the welcome she wanted. First of all her mother (also the headmistress of the school) tells her she shouldn't and doesn't want to remember what happened this summer and just accept she is okay. Second of all her best friends try to act like nothing is going on but they all have this feeling of frustration and secrecy. Third of all, Zach is now going to the school and Cammie doesn't know whether to fall for him again or to ignore him. Finally, The Circle obviously don't need her information any more and are trying to kill her and everyone that gets in the way. So yeah Cammie's life isn't normal any more and while she tries and learns how to be a spy again she also has to discover what she did and who she saw last summer even if it is against her mothers orders. Can Cammie ever become a spy you again? what do you think??

So I really enjoyed this and the whole upside down tip and now Ally Carter is on my begging authors list and I cannot wait (literally) for her next book to come out. I would advise to all students and spy fans. I really have nothing bad to say about this book,  although it did take a long time to come out she must have been trying to make it perfect.

Whats Next Is a new meme held by Icey Books every thursday and its all about getting your followers choose the next book you read. first of all you pick 3-5 books you want to read and post the cover if you want the synopsis or the first line of the books and at the end of every post you ask your readers what you should read. simple.

Perception by Kim Harrington
When you can see things others can't, what do you do when someone's watching you?

Everybody knows about Clarity "Clare" Fern. She's the psychic girl in school, the one who can place her hands on something and see hidden visions from the past.

Only Clare would rather not be a celebrity. She prefers hanging back, observing. Her gift is not a game to her.

But then someone starts playing with her head . . . and heart. Messages and gifts from a secret admirer crop up everywhere Clare turns. Could they be from Gabriel, the gorgeous boy who gets Clare's pulse racing? Or from Justin, Clare's hopeful ex-boyfriend who'd do anything to win her back?

One thing is certain. Clare needs to solve this mystery, and soon. Because the messages are becoming sinister, and a girl in town has suddenly disappeared.
Of Poseidon by Anna Banks
Galen is the prince of the Syrena, sent to land to find a girl he's heard can communicate with fish. Emma is on vacation at the beach. When she runs into Galen — literally, ouch! — both teens sense a connection. But it will take several encounters, including a deadly one with a shark, for Galen to be convinced of Emma's gifts. Now, if he can only convince Emma that she holds the key to his kingdom . . .

Told from both Emma and Galen's points of view, here is a fish-out-of-water story that sparkles with intrigue, humor, and waves of romance.
Partials by Dan Wells
Humanity is all but extinguished after a war with partials—engineered organic beings identical to humans—has decimated the world’s population. Reduced to only tens of thousands by a weaponized virus to which only a fraction of humanity is immune, the survivors in North America have huddled together on Long Island. The threat of the partials is still imminent, but, worse, no baby has been born immune to the disease in over a decade. Humanity’s time is running out.

When sixteen-year-old Kira learns of her best friend’s pregnancy, she’s determined to find a solution. Then one rash decision forces Kira to flee her community with the unlikeliest of allies. As she tries desperately to save what is left of her race, she discovers that the survival of both humans and partials rests in her attempts to answer questions of the war’s origin that she never knew to ask.
The Scorpio Races by Maggie Stiefvater
It happens at the start of every November: the Scorpio Races. Riders attempt to keep hold of their water horses long enough to make it to the finish line. Some riders live. Others die.

At age nineteen, Sean Kendrick is the returning champion. He is a young man of few words, and if he has any fears, he keeps them buried deep, where no one else can see them.

Puck Connolly is different. She never meant to ride in the Scorpio Races. But fate hasn’t given her much of a chance. So she enters the competition — the first girl ever to do so. She is in no way prepared for what is going to happen.

Darkness before Dawn

so obviously this was the last whats next? book. that you voted for and i have to say you are good at picking. darkness before dawn is written by J.A London who is a mother and son team of Alex and Jan. which is pretty cool considering its written mostly in a girls point of view. Dawn has just ost her parents to Rogue vampires and then she is the new delegate of the VampHu contract. which scares her, but what is even more scary is that she is starting to fall in love with the rebelious son of the head vampire victor. but something even more deadlier is ut there and the humans dont know what it is but the lord valentine does and its because of his bloodlust that it is out there. now i cant go into too much detail without spoiling it so i'm not going to but i do suggest that all of you who suggested it even the ones who didnt read it!
oh and i just want to share this check it out http://www.lawrence.lib.ks.us/2012/07/if-you-liked-the-hunger-games-3/

Reviews Times 3

Okay so  I have been busy reading tonnes of books so I whipped through the XVI series and Temptation of Angels. Yes i know all of you had voted for darkness before dawn but that one was due back at the library so i was forced to read it. so obviously I have 3 reviews to do today. so i will start with temptation of angels.

temptation of angels by Michelle Zink:
so this is one i had high expectations from since Michelle Zink's prophecy of the sister trilogy was fantastic. i really loved it! but this one was a slow starting and rushed end. i think she dwelled a bit too much in the problem and the other complications surrounding her. but otherwise the story was good. it has a love triangle with the main character Helen (they always seem to go with Greek mythology names) and Raum, a childhood friend and Griffin. so the story starts off with her parents getting killed by assassins and sending her down a tunnel that comes out at one the places she was always with her parents. she eventually finds her way to griffin and Darius's house. after that things get complicated. she learns what she and others are which is part of a group called the Enlightenment. then she meets raum again. he tells her information which leads them to Alastor and evil demon seeking for power against the human world. in the end Helen has to pick between Raum and griffin, with another major factor/problem hanging over her head. the one thing i really don't get about this book is why its called temptation of angels. there's demon in it an there's the Enlightenment but there is not really any mention of angels which is kind of what i was looking forward too. all the fallen angels battling each other with Helen stuck in the middle. oh well we cant all get what we expected for.

XVI and Truth by Julia Karr:
so these two were interesting i actually had to read XVI again so that i understood the story but this is an amazing series. i here people say "oh its just another one of those government dystopian series like the hunger games and the declaration" but its not that's something people say when they haven't read these books. this a heart breaking falling in love story that i cant wait for the 3rd one to come out and i love the in between blog Julia's writing about Nina's life while she finishes the third one its called the xvi series. so xvi is all about Nina having a normal life meeting a guy called Sal and her life turning up side down first of all with her mom being forced to die that night as a criminal, then learning her dead father is still alive then moving back to Chicago to live with her grandparents and trying to stay away from ed (her little sisters father?). after one night of music, threats and walking Nina ends up finding out a lot more about her life and is falling in love with Sal.
Truth is all about well truths and lies. Nina suspects Sal is lying to hr and doesn't really love him. while her grandpa is arrested for a lie and her gran then has a heart attack and is put in hospital. Nina also finds the truth out about FeLS (which is an institution in the book) and what happened to Joan (mikes sister) but while Sal has disappeared she starts to fall for her best friends brother, Chris. while things go on Nina joins the sisterhood which is a bunch of female creative non cons who want to do more than sit around so they broad cast truths about the Media and the government. at the end something disastrous happens and would like to not tell you.

Any way that's all from me today.

Every Other Day

okay so every other day sounds like some stupid oh yeah..... comment you'd say to a higher person as a teenager. but this book brought life into words. it starts off really slow and a bit confusing but it ends up being heart breaking saddening and happy. so lets put it this way i dont cry over anything but this book i was crying over. it was that good. Jennier lynn barnes has done an awesome job with her other books but i didnt get a feel for them this one turns itself complete upside down inside out and shot into another world. so every other day is about a girl called Kali who hunts abnormal and paranormal things or as she says things that go bump at night. she calls her self a hunter but she's not fully aware of what she is . Kali is indestructible every second day so she cant fight them every day. on the other days she goes to school. but since she moved schools she's met and become friends with the "school's slut" and found out the prettiest girl in school has a chupacabra on her. so she tries to bet the hero and get rid of it although it takes a toll. she ends up being connected to zeth and after that trouble finds her. in the mists of all this she creates friends and tells them what she is, she finds her mother and 'mama' again and someone dies its a great paranormal/abnormal read that practically everyone will enjoy.

BOOK: Every Other Day
AUTHOR: Jennifer Lynn Barnes
RATING: 3 Gold Stars

The Temptation of Angels By Michelle Zink

Even angels make mistakes in this page-turning epic romance

When her parents are murdered before her eyes, sixteen-year-old Helen Cartwright finds herself launched into an underground London where a mysterious organization called the Dictata controls the balance of good and evil. Helen learns that she is one of three remaining angelic descendants charged with protecting the world's past, present, and future. Unbeknownst to her, she has been trained her whole life to accept this responsibility. Now, as she finds herself torn between the angelic brothers protecting her and the devastatingly handsome childhood friend who wants to destroy her, she must prepare to be brave, to be hunted, and above all to be strong, because temptation will be hard to resist, even for an angel.

A Game of Thrones By George R.R Martin
Long ago, in a time forgotten, a preternatural event threw the seasons out of balance. In a land where summers can last decades and winters a lifetime, trouble is brewing. The cold is returning, and in the frozen wastes to the north of Winterfell, sinister and supernatural forces are massing beyond the kingdom's protective Wall. At the center of the conflict lie the Starks of Winterfell, a family as harsh and unyielding as the land they were born to. Sweeping from a land of brutal cold to a distant summertime kingdom of epicurean plenty, here is a tale of lords and ladies, soldiers and sorcerers, assassins and bastards, who come together in a time of grim omens.
Here an enigmatic band of warriors bear swords of no human metal; a tribe of fierce wildlings carry men off into madness; a cruel young dragon prince barters his sister to win back his throne; and a determined woman undertakes the most treacherous of journeys. Amid plots and counterplots, tragedy and betrayal, victory and terror, the fate of the Starks, their allies, and their enemies hangs perilously in the balance, as each endeavors to win that deadliest of conflicts: the game of thrones.

Personal Demons By Lisa DeRochers
Frannie Cavanaugh is a good Catholic girl with a bit of a wicked streak. She has spent years keeping everyone at a distance---even her closest friends---and it seems as if her senior year is going to be more of the same . . . until Luc Cain enrolls in her class. No one knows where he came from, but Frannie can’t seem to stay away from him.

What she doesn’t know is that Luc is on a mission. He’s been sent from Hell itself to claim Frannie’s soul. It should be easy---all he has to do is get her to sin, and Luc is as tempting as they come. Frannie doesn’t stand a chance. But he has to work fast, because if the infernals are after her, the celestials can’t be far behind. And sure enough, it’s not long before the angel Gabriel shows up, willing to do anything to keep Luc from getting what he came for. It isn’t long before they find themselves fighting for more than just Frannie’s soul.

But if Luc fails, there will be Hell to pay . . . for all of them.

Darkness Before Dawn By J.A. London
Only sunlight can save us.

We built the wall to keep them out, to keep us safe. But it also makes us prisoners, trapped in what's left of our ravaged city, fearing nightfall.

After the death of my parents, it's up to me--as the newest delegate for humanity--to bargain with our vampire overlord. I thought I was ready. I thought I knew everything there was to know about the monsters. Then again, nothing could have prepared me for Lord Valentine . . . or his son. Maybe not all vampires are killers. Maybe it's safe to let one in.

Only one thing is certain: Even the wall is not enough. A war is coming and we cannot hide forever.
