2012 end of year survey

okay so Jamie from Perpetual Page Turner is doing this end of year survey and i just had to join in too!
1. Best Book You Ever Read in 2012? (can be  broken down by genre)
honestly there is no way anyone could pick just one!
ROMANCE: Anna and The French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins
CONTEMPORARY: Pushing The Limits by Katie McGarry
FOUND FUNNY: Half Blood by Jennifer L Armentrout
STEAM PUNK: The Girl in the Steel Corset by Kady Cross

2. Book You Were excited about and thought you were going to love but didnt?
Struck by Jennifer Bosworth honestly i loved the concept and the blurb and the cover but when it came to reading it the story seemed to drag on way to long and really got on my nerves

3. Most surprising (in a good way) book of 2012?
the most surprising book would had to have been The end of the nightshade trilogy wolfsbane and bloodrose they were very different and exciting from the first book and i found it very heart-throbbing to read

4.Book You Have Recommended most to people in 2012?
there are three this year that i absolutely have gone oh you must read
Cinder by Marissa Meyer
Shatter Me by Tahereh Mafi
and Eve by Anna Carey series you discovered in 2012?
 Eve by Anna Carey and The Steam Punk Chronicles by Kady Cross

6.Best New Authors You Discovered in 2012?
Stephanie Perkins, Marissa Meyer, Veronica Rossi, Anna Carey, Tahereh Mafi, Megan Miranda, Wendy Higgins, Claire LaZebnik, Kady Cross, Jennifer L Armentrout, Katie McGarry and Lisa M Basso. just to name a few!

7. Best Book that was out of your comfort zone or was a new genre for you?
North Of Beautiful by Justine Chan Headly all though it took me a long time to read this is one of those ones that was out of the fantasy region and definitely touched my heart.

8.most thrilling unputtable down book?
The Selection by Keira Cass that was possibly the quickest book i have ever read and it was good

9.Favourite Book Covers of 2012?
this one doesn't relate to the book as much but
is still very cool!!!!

10.Most Memorable Character in 2012?
everytime someone asks me what is your favourite character it seems hard to pick and all the authors make all the guys sound the best i tend to just go back to the same one and that would be Juliette from Shatter Me the first book i read this year. she seems to have that powerful voice that she doesn't realise she is so vulnerable in the start but at the end she is more powerful.

11. Most beautifully written book in 2012?
Now most beautifully written normally means i have cried at the end and there were a few this year and it is really hard to pick this one because i didnt cry yet it was inspiring this book is Between The Lines by Jodi Picoult and Samantha Van Leer.

12. book had the greatest impact on you in 2012?
Its hard to say what had impact you was big until you remember every page/line of a book still thinking what made that book so special and this book truly does this its yet again Between The lines by Jodi Picoult and Samantha Van Leer

13.  Book you couldn't believed you waited until 2012 to read?
Legend by Marie Lu. thaat books was amazing and yet i am still waiting for the sequel!! and Half Blood By Jennifer L Armentrout.

Shortest: Entangled by Nikki Jefford 142 pages
Longest: Insurgent by Veronica 525 pages

16.Book That Had A Scene in it that had you reeling and dying to talk to somebody about it?
a)i keep talking about this scene but its the scene from the city of bones and its when clary and jace are told that they are brother and sister and you just go how can you do that??
b) the next scene its very different its the scene from the selection where aspen goes to america i dont want you to have my life i want you to go and stay with the prince an then breaks up with her and thats only within the first 50 pages i was heart broken and dint know how maxon would live up to aspen.

17.Favourite relationship from a book in 2012? (can be romantic, friendship etc)
that would have to be america and maxon from the selection its such a great friendship and its an even better relationship.

18.Favourite Book you read from an author you have previously read from?
that book would be the pledge by Kimberley Derting. i honestly didn't like her third book but i liked this book way better than her other series!

19.Best Book You Read that you read solely on a recommendation in 2012?
 there are lots of books i have read on recommendation like hush hush and the tigers curse but this year there weren't many that i hadn't already read but this one, this one was a joy and wonder to read its epic fail by claire lazebnik

LOOKING FORWARD TO 2013 book you didn't get to in 2012 but will definitely get to in 2013? (before someone kills you over it)
that would probably be a0 sweet venom by tera lynn childs, b) the giirl of fire and thorns or c) the city of lost souls all books sitting on my bookshelf at the moment yet to be opened .

3.One thing You Hope To accomplish or do in reading/blogging in 2013?
sorry long speech ahead.
i am/wish to accomplish more in blogging by starting with a new review system to fit my likings and my dislikes to write reviews on all books good bad and ugly, to score some interviews wit authors i have just read books of and discuss with them how their books came to be and to create new segments and to have some fun and not be clogged with homework.
