Kobo VOX vs Kindle Fire

Hi Dear Readers who have probably stopped reading this blog because i have been caught up with school work (still am!!!!),

Now as the rest of the book blogging and reading society i have recently come to the invention of ebooks and ereaders now its my birthday soon and i was wondering which sort of ereader is should be getting as the two competing brands Kobo and Kindle. now the first one that i came across that i liked was the KOBO VOX, it looks rather cool and can store up to 8,000 books and is cheaper by about $30 dollars than the rest of them in australia pricing at about $104 AUS. the other book i have come across is the Kindle fire now admittedly the Kindle is a bigger brand, and it has the bigger screening of ideas like watching movies on it and having access to millions of books for free with amazon premium. to be honest i really cant decide which one both i would have to buy online and both do come with colour screens

PLEASE HELP!!!!!

Cover Reveal: Isla and the Happily Ever After

Hey guys so i was surfing the web and blogs and lately Stephanie Perkins has released her new cover for Isla and The Happily Ever After. Unfortunately she has changed the whole scene of them and if you want my honest opinion i hate them. they are quite bland and unattractive i liked her other beautiful covers but here is the new cover above and click here to see the new versions of the old ones. Please do tell me what you think. Do you think stephanie perkins should have changed them or stuck to her old ones?

The Fault In Our Stars

ok so i heard all about this book before it was even out i australia everyone everywhere was gossiping about it and normally when a book comes along its alright not great maybe good. you feel disappointed with yourself for reading it afterwards. but when I say The fault in our stars is that amazing i mean this is the 2nd author that has made me sob for most of the book. The Fault In Our Stars by John Green is not really a story but a life lesson something that should be taken in by everyone.

Blurb:Diagnosed with Stage IV thyroid cancer at 13, Hazel was prepared to die until, at 14, a medical miracle shrunk the tumours in her lungs... for now.

Two years post-miracle, sixteen-year-old Hazel is post-everything else, too; post-high school, post-friends and post-normalcy. And even though she could live for a long time (whatever that means), Hazel lives tethered to an oxygen tank, the tumours tenuously kept at bay with a constant chemical assault.

Enter Augustus Waters. A match made at cancer kid support group, Augustus is gorgeous, in remission, and shockingly to her, interested in Hazel. Being with Augustus is both an unexpected destination and a long-needed journey, pushing Hazel to re-examine how sickness and health, life and death, will define her and the legacy that everyone leaves behind.
The Trailer:
Pros:
  • the sense of feeling pure emotion is portray from the character to the reader
  • it feels real like you are with that character at the very moment
  • the real causes
  • how the characters have acted in certain situations portrayed what the writers wants.
  • unpredictable (yet has foreshadowing )storyline most likely to give readers heart break.
Cons:
  • the plot itself had a climax but was not foreshown as the problem until 50 pages before it happened
First Line:
late in the winter of my seventeenth year, my mother decided i was depressed, presumably because i rarely left the house, spent quite a lot of time in bed, read the same book over and over, ate infrequently, and devoted quite a bit of my abundant free time thinking about death.

Last Line:
I do, Augustus
I do.

Discussion:
okay so as i stated above i sobbed right through this book. now i went into this book not knoing what it was about but just that everyone thought it was amazing, lemme tell you its a heart breaking/wrenching cancer book that isnt written in its normal formality that she/he is going to die thats whats so real about it is that its all  the realistic and unrealistic stuff that you would do with people you love and the way augustus and hazel connect oh i wish i could be hazel. the character that i loved the most though had to ian the way he reacted to his cancer and the way he accepted people that accepted him is a totally natural thing oh and he was pretty funny. now i havent told you much about this book but that i loved it but i really shouldnt have to because the first line should make you want to read the book anyway.

Overall Score: 5/5 WOOHOO!!!
